We will be hosting our first Community Share Day on Saturday, September 18th with the Huntington Assembly of God! We are very excited to hold this event as a fun and engaging new way for our kind-hearted, caring donors to connect with the families that we serve in our beautiful Huntington Station community.
How does it work? You register online for a time slot. Then you neatly pack your car with the items you would like to share with the community- clothing, toys, household items, unexpired non-perishable food, and any other items in good/new condition! Clothing must not be ripped, torn, or stained, missing buttons, or broken zippers. If you would like to give gift cards to families you may, but we ask that no cash is given. No large electronics or furniture please. You can sign up for a two-hour time slot where we will have the cars set up “trunk-or-treat” style in the parking lot. Community members will be able to walk around to the different cars and browse. You must stay by your car during your time slot and we ask that you stay until your time slot is over (or all of your donations have been distributed). There will be no charge for donating or receiving items at the event. We reserve the right to review all items on the day of the event. Tax receipts will be provided for all donations upon request.
This is an excellent opportunity for families with children to come and serve the community together. We will serve hot dogs, chips, and soda to all who attend. We hope that this is an enjoyable time for both our donors and community members! Rain date is September 25th. If you have any questions, feel free to call the Helping Hand Rescue Mission at 631-351-6996. Sharing is caring!
