What a difference a Pandemic makes...
COVID-19 Family Food Relief BaGS - MAY 2020
The Helping Hand Pantry is serving a greatly increased number of families nearly 100 per day plus upwards of 25 deliveries per day due to the economic strain of job losses and school closures caused by current public health concerns (COVID-19).
Your help is needed more than ever. We are open for non-perishable food donations Tues-Fri 10AM-2PM (donations will be quarantined in our pod for a few days) or you can help us by donating to our Pantry & Family Meal Fund. We are not accepting clothing or household items until further notice.
Thank you for helping! Together, we are the safety-net that our community can fall back on during times of need.
Currently needed items to pack relief bags for pantry clients
Many more families are finding themselves "food insecure" at this time. We have given out over 2000 food bags since March 21.
We are purchasing through grocery distributors in bulk and they are being delivered to HHRM by truck weekly.
We also appreciate and need your donations. $45.00 sponsors a 2 week supply pantry bag for a family. Thank you.
We provide non-perishables, dairy products, meats as available baked goods and fresh and frozen produce as available.
Some local gardeners will be planning their gardens and plant extra to donate to local pantries.
Stores are sharing sandwiches, salads and other things like that.
That is so wonderful and people appreciate the goods so much.
Thank you for your help during this critical time. It means the world to our families, and to us as we kick into high gear to provide for them in the midst of the pandemic. We wouldn't be able to keep our doors open for them without your help and support. Every donation, literally every donation, matters to our community now more than ever. We're so grateful to have your strength and compassion behind us.
