Community Closet
The Helping Hand Rescue Mission Community Closet provides new and gently used seasonally-appropriate clothing to anyone in need during our pantry distribution hours--thanks to the wonderful donors in our community that gather these items to be shared. We are currently running our community closet outdoors whenever weather permits to ensure the safety and social distancing of our patrons. Appropriate clothing can be a genuinely difficult expense for families, especially if they have children that are always growing. They are truly grateful for the clothes they need, and so are we!
We accept seasonally appropriate clothing (right now, winter clothing and coats) that has been
Helping Hand Rescue Mission is focusing its energies and the space in its building on meeting the greatly increased food need--we don’t have the same capacity to sort and store items. Having clothes donated clean, sorted and ready to go out to the people makes the community closet possible, and we are so thankful for all the love that people put into getting these items ready for new homes. We accept all sizes, from infant to adult. We are not able to accept out of season clothing. Please make sure all donated socks and underwear are new! We cannot accept furniture and household goods at this time, but we look forward to being able to share housewares again one day when the pandemic permits.

- sorted by size and gender,
- and placed on hangers or in clear plastic bags or grocery bags
- during our donation hours.
